At Color & Culture, we believe in our corporate responsibility to contribute positively to the world, and we fulfill that by supporting public health initiatives through our subsidiary, Latino Connection.
Latino Connection is our public health and community outreach arm, dedicated to bridging gaps in care and addressing social determinants of health-related barriers. Its mission is to make health care and preventive services more accessible, particularly for populations that face systemic challenges. Backed by a resourceful and well-connected team, Latino Connection creates pathways to care where none exist.
Much of our work sits at the intersection of public health and health care.
That means we:
- Bring culturally tailored prevention, vaccinations, health education, screenings, and health care access programs into your communities and neighborhoods.
- Create healthcare opportunities that do not require appointments, transportation, or health insurance.
- Work with businesses, governments, non-profits, healthcare systems, and insurance companies to improve health equity and deliver health care that meets the needs of populations who have greater challenges receiving high-quality care.
- Design new health and prevention programs that address the most common, important, and expensive health-care conditions.
We create initiatives that improve health equity and access to care.
Below are some of the key programs and initiatives we’re currently leading to make a meaningful impact on health equity and care access in our communities.

Health Education, Prevention & Health Literacy Initiatives

- Tobacco, Nicotine and Vaping Addiction Prevention and Control — These programs educate youth, parents and caregivers, and adults about the dangers of smoking and vaping, how to quit, and how healthcare and social services can incorporate resources into their work.
- Hands Across Reading — Funded by the federal Office of Minority Health, a partnership with the City of Reading, Reading Area Community College, Latino Connection, and Penn State College of Medicine which launched a survey and community engagement program to assess the health literacy among residents and discuss barriers to healthcare.

We do this work because we believe in using our platform for good.
Our teams value human life and dignity. We recognize that everyone comes from different circumstances and backgrounds, and is given different amounts and types of resources at birth. We understand that life is not always fair; and that you can do everything right and still have setbacks and need help.
Health and well-being are core to living a full life. Our work through Latino Connection aims to uplift, serve, and strengthen individuals, families, and communities, especially those that experience disproportionate health risks due to structural and societal determinants of health. We do what we do because we feel an internal drive to bring to life the love, caring, and compassion we feel for all people. We want people to be happy, and to succeed in ways that they find meaningful.
Let’s partner to create real change.
We’d love to connect if your organization has a public health challenge or initiative to discuss.
