When Color & Culture sees that change needs to happen in order to make life better for individuals or communities, we don’t throw our hands in the air and say “none of the conventional ways will take us there.” Color & Culture finds innovative ways to effect change that makes a lasting difference. Even if that involves launching a unique initiative or forging new partnerships that help tackle the challenges our neighbors are facing. At the heart of every effort is diversity, equity and inclusion as a business model, not a business line. And partners like the Latino Connection Foundation play a big role in making change happen.

Powerful Woman

This initiative pays tribute to the powerful women who make taking care of their families a priority over their own health. Powerful Woman is a one-day event powered by Color & Culture catalyst Latino Connection that includes health-related coachings and workshops, on-site screenings, along with raffles and activities for kids.

Do It For Them

This smoking cession program focuses on educating adults on the effects smoking has on children close to them. Looking for a reason to quit? Show them how much you care.

Pleasure Responsibly

Pleasure Responsibly is an initiative from Color & Culture to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS among men who have sex with men by encouraging individuals to take personal responsibility for their sexual health and safety, allowing them to focus more intently on their pleasure.

Adios, Renting

This initiative from Color & Culture helps guide Black and brown renters past a broad range of barriers to homeownership, such as a higher chance of rejection for conventional home loans and even higher mortgage rates compared to white homebuyers.

“Adios, Renting” believes everyone deserves the chance to pursue homeownership on their own merit by sharing many resources available to put Black and brown renters on equal footing with their white counterparts for their shot at homeownership.
