More than ten years ago, Color & Culture catalyst PPO&S’s statewide research for Pennsylvania Insurance Fraud Prevention Authority (IFPA) confirmed that most Pennsylvanians didn’t know what insurance fraud was. It also uncovered a critical key insight: The more people know about insurance fraud, the less likely they were to commit it.
Fast forward to the current day: Follow-up research confirms that the education and prevention integrated campaign for IFPA has steadily increased consumer awareness across Pennsylvania of what constitutes the crime and the penalties for committing it.
The campaign has also captured the attention of the insurance fraud prevention sector where it has been recognized as the gold standard for prevention campaigns in the U.S. In fact, more than 30 states are currently using elements from the campaign to combat fraud in their own backyards.
